“Women for Women International” provides financial and emotional aid, Women for Women Internationaljob-skills training, rights education, and small business assistance to women in war-torn regions. In their 16-year history, they have served over 243,000 women in nine countries around the world, and distributed $61 million in direct aid and microcredit loans.

They also have a “sponsor a woman” program for $27/month. It’s a Women for Women International: Helping Women Survivors of War Rebuild Their Livesnew-fashioned pen pal with a woman in Afghanistan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Sudan.
