Sharing the Harp!

Jan learning the harp!Last month, I spent a week in Indianapolis with Jan Erlenbaugh Gaddis (the woman who wrote the first story in “Women as Healers”). We had a great time! Our schedule was very full and each day was meaningful and heart-felt.

On the last day, I played at Rosewalk at Lutherwood, an assisted living center, where Jan’s mother lived before she died on October 29, 2011 (Jan’s birthday). As I was about to put my harp in its case, Jan asked if she could play it. Well, of course! It was Jan’s turn to experience the harp firsthand … she ran her fingers up and down the strings called the glissando. Then, we played “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” together. It was a great culmination of our time together!
