In May 2006, I began volunteering with Barb Schommer (Certified Healing Touch Practitioner/Instructor) at Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury, MN.

The Woodwinds’ Integrative Therapies department recently released a research summary of our work together, “The Impact of Healing Touch with Harp Therapy on Inpatient Acute Care Pain: A Retrospective Analysis.”

A Happy Thanksgiving message from Tami Briggs (author of Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy)

Thanksgiving is a favorite time to reflect for all the things I’m grateful for. Here’s a few things:

All of the people who’ve purchased the Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy book.
The stories you’ve shared about how the book has touched/impacted your lives.
All of the clients who said, “Yes! Let’s do a presentation for my community.”
The people who follow me on Twitter (@WomenAsHealers) and the wonderful people I am following. It is a window into people’s lives all over the world. I would never have this opportunity to connect without these unique technical programs.
Time this week to enjoy my parents for the holiday.

What are you grateful for?

A few years back, I heard about a gratitude ritual – to list five things each day that I am grateful for. I like to name these things right before I go to sleep. I drift off with a smile on my face and realize how lucky I am for all the wonderful things in my life! I encourage you to try this … it is a heart-full habit. Have a lovely Thanksgiving!

Announcing a New CD!

I have always been interested in women’s issues … and even more so after the “Women as Healers” book was introduced.

So , when the opportunity to create “A Guided Oasis for the Mid-Life Woman” came along, I knew the timing was perfect and jumped at the chance!

I co-created it with Glenda Cedarleaf, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Licensed Psychotherapist. What makes this CD unique?
