Gone to Goga - Back in 10!For several months, a friend has been telling me about a new fitness craze called Goga. (No, it’s not related to yoga!) She has said how much she loves it and has encouraged me to try it.

Recently, I met her at the Goga Studio and it is a 10-minute “No workout” workout. It is whole body vibration and works all muscles simultaneously.

You stand feet shoulder width apart on a workout machine that looks similar to a treadmill, except it doesn’t have “the tail.” Set for 10 quick minutes, the platform rocks very quickly back and forth causing you to “jiggle.” With the following benefits:

  • Increase muscle strength
  •  Accelerate weight loss
  • Increase metabolism
  • Prevent muscle loss
  • Improve flexibility
  • Tone and firm
  • Low impact – kind to joints
  • Improve agility and balance
  • Massage muscles
  • Improve mobility
  • Decrease cellulite
  • Improve circulation
  • Improve bone density
  • Reduce effects of stress.

For the last minute, you move your feet close together and increase the rocking speed. This gives a full body massage.

Now, I’ve completed several sessions … loving every minute!
